back yard astronomy

Last night, after watching a movie, we spread a blanket in the back yard and watched the Perseid meteor shower for over an hour. At first it was disappointing because it was a little cloudy, but we waited, and saw several shoot by before we headed back inside. It was a cool way to complete the weekend.

    Sweet! We watched it here on the shores of Lake Superior and saw tons of shooting stars,too, and a handful of fireballs!!! I love being up here for the meteor showers, because we are so far from city light pollution! Miss you!
