Out of the movies that I've seen that were released in 2009, (500) Days of Summer might be my favorite. Not to say that there weren't other good ones, but:
I like the casting.
I like the wardrobe.
I like the setting.
I like what it says (and asks) about relationships, and it does it in a way that feels genuine.
I like that a Regina Spektor song is part of the soundtrack.
(The movie will probably continue to remind me of my time in L.A. and Seattle this summer, but it's a good film independently of my memories.)
But that's just my opinion. Watch the trailer. Rent the movie. Tell me what you think.
