I am in a phase of life where I'm learning to seize the day more frequently when it comes to finding freelance writing opportunities. It helps that I have some people encouraging me every now and again.
I just submitted two queries via email. They are each on different topics, and to different magazines. I expect I won't hear back for at least a few weeks. But I'm cautiously optimistic they could be successful and actually get me some (published) writing work. It's a step.
